SARALEE "SALLY" JANICE GRIFFIN

Johnston City-Saralee "Sally" Janice Griffin, age 84, passed away peacefully on June 13 ^th , 2021 with family by her side. She was born on October 14, 1936 in Marion, IL to Leo B. and Genevieve Davis Deaton. Survivors include her sister, Judy Marsden of Columbia, her four children, Jan, Kenny, Mike, and Chuck, her dog, Baxter, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. All of these she loved and touched deeply. She often called her loved ones "Bub."

She was not only an amazing mother to her children, but she was also considered a mother to many others. Her strength and will were unparalleled. Her joys of life included owning a horse ranch, traveling with her sister, Judy, reading thousands of books, and spending time with family and friends.

For many years she worked for multiple auto dealerships as an office manager, and then retired from Ike Honda after 35 years. She was a prominent figure in her church where she loved to sing.

There will be no formal funeral services as the family has planned a celebration of her life TBD. She will be greatly missed and is now reunited in song and prayer with her loved ones in Heaven.
