Saundra Sue
Shetters
Aug 24, 1949 — Mar 16, 2025
SAUNDRA SUE SHETTERS
It is with a heavy heart and many happy hilarious memories that we announce the passing of Saundra Shetters (Sue)- a loving mother, doting grandmother, favorite aunt and friend who could make anyone laugh even on their worst day. She went home to her Heavenly Father on March 16th, 2025. Just as Sue wanted, she passed away at home surrounded by her loved ones by her side reminiscing of all the happy and hysterical memories of her life.
Sue was the glue that held the family together, a woman whose generous heart, wicked sense of humor made life infinitely more entertaining. Whether she was singing, dancing, playing pranks on unsuspecting victims, or indulging in a feast surrounded by loved ones, Sue's joy and laughter was infectious. Life with Sue was never boring, and the world will be a little less fun without her.
Born on August 24th, 1949, Sue dedicated her life to caring for others in both her career and with her friends and family. She was a natural nurturer, and someone you always wanted in your corner.
Sue now reunites with those who went before her, her parents, Lloyd & Gertrude Adams, her beloved husband Joe, her sister Donna, and her baby brother John.
Sue leaves behind a family who adored her; three daughters Tonia Johnson (PJ), Shanna Hartley (Bill), and Wanda James (Jon), eight grandchildren that she was so proud of JP Gillespie, Nicole Johnson-Jeralds (Coleton), Peyton Johnson, Trey Johnson, Randy Grider (Mikayla), Victoria Grider, Conner Hartley, Cooper James, several nieces, and nephews whom she embraced as her own, and a brother Steve Cobb.
In keeping with Sue's wishes a private graveside service will be held. While we mourn the loss of this incredible woman, we also celebrate the love, laughter, and unforgettable memories she leaves behind.
Rest easy, Mom-heaven just got a whole lot livelier.
