SHELLIE ANN MARSHALL

Marion–Shellie Ann Marshall 45, of Marion passed away at 7:10 P.M. on Monday, July 29, 2013 at the Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday August 2, 2013, at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor Danny Norman and Pastor Kevin Holiday officiating. Burial will be in the Freedom Cemetery south of Marion. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M to 1:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the funeral home. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Shellie was born on December 13, 1967, in Marion, the daughter of Les and Rose (Meadows) Hodson.

Shellie was a homemaker and of the Christian Faith.

She is survived by her father and step-mom, Les and Pauline Hodson of Pittsburg; a son, Blake Marshall of Johnston City; a daughter, Ashley Smelcer and husband Ryan of Marion; a granddaughter, Emily Smelcer; two sisters, Tara Travis of Marion and Regina Vickers and husband Jerry of Stonefort; two brothers, Sam Grimes of Zeigler and Jearl Trammell and wife Jacqui of Murphysboro; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother; and an uncle, Robert Hill.
