SHERRILL MARIE BENGE

Johnston City-Sherrill Marie Benge, 77 of Johnston City passed away at 8:36 A.M. on Thursday March 30, 2017 at her family home.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday April 1, 2017 at Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City with Pastor Gaylon Stewart officiating. Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City is in charge of arrangements.

Sherrill was born on January 23, 1940 in Johnston City the daughter of Ollie and Wilma (Briscoe) Campbell. She married John Benge on October 24, 1959 in Johnston City. He preceded her in death on September 8, 1994.

She was a retired cook working at the Maple House. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinal's Fan.

She is survived by three daughters, Angela Dodson and significant other Rick Rost of Herrin, Andrea Benge of Johnston City, and Amber Caraballo of Johnston City; grandchildren, Johnny Dodson and significant other Angela Sampson, Kevin Dodson, Ashley Olsen and husband Adrian, Dawn Lyerla, Amie Wilson, Dusten Klus and wife Marquette; twelve great grandchildren; a brother, Dallas Campbell of Whiteash; a sister, Joyce Morris and husband Dale of Herrin; and a brother, David Campbell of Johnston City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Vernon Campbell.
