SHIELA FAYE LAWRENCE

Stiritz–Shiela Faye Lawrence 86, of Stiritz, passed away at 11:59 A.M., on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at Deaconess Illinois Medical Center, Marion.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., on Wednesday August 26, 2026, at Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City, Illinois, with Rev. Andy Lee officiating. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M., at the funeral home.

Shiela was born on June 16, 1940, in Williamson County, the daughter of Pauline (Roll) and James McReynolds, of Stiritz. She married Philip Carol Lawrence, on December 28, 1961.

Shiela was a retired secretary for Odum Concrete. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Johnston City, Illinois.

She is survived by one son, Alan (Deanna) Lawrence of Stiritz, and one daughter, Karen (Rodney) Johnson of Stiritz; seven grandchildren, Jade (Kyle), Drew, Alli (Hunter), Colton (Alia), Maddie, Dustin (Megan), Derek, Dylan Brooke), and Destinee; nine great grandchildren, Davani, Corvin, Amadea, Deakan, Harper, Dallas, Indigo, Tate, and Trace; and sister, Paula (Darryl) Stucker of Energy; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, Robert Lawrence; parents, and several siblings.
