SHIRLEY JEAN HARRIS

Marion-Shirley Jean Harris, 74 of Marion formerly of Johnston City passed away at 10:25 P.M. on Wednesday May 15, 2013 at the Herrin Hospital.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday May 18, 2013 at Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor Larry Stevens officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.

Shirley was born on October 19, 1938 in Herrin the daughter of Howard Clifton and Frances Marybelle (Mosley) Robertson. She was married to Virgil Harris of Johnston City for 29 years. He survives.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Bill Harris and wife Bonnie of Marion; a daughter-in-law, Sandy Harris of Johnston City; four grandchildren, Gary Harris Jr. and wife Angie, Kevin Harris and wife Karrie, Jodi Harris, and David Harris; five great grandchildren, Mekaela Arnett, Haley and Hunter Harris, and Emma and Charli Harris; three step grandchildren; seven step-great grandchildren; a sister, Barbara Grider and husband John of Florida; two brothers, James "Bo" Robertson and wife Ellen "Sis" of Carterville, and Kenneth Robertson of Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Gary Harris; a granddaughter, April Arnett; two brothers, Clifton "Bandy" Robertson and Richard "Dick" Robertson; and two sisters, Mary Adams and Patricia Wade.
