STEPHEN RAY KEE
Johnston City–Stephen Ray Kee 66 of Johnston City passed away at 3:05 P.M. on Sunday September 4, 2016 in the Herrin Hospital.
Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday September 7, 2016, in the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor Ralph Brandon officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to P.A.W.'S in Anna or to the American Lung Association.
Stephen was born on November 24, 1949 in Carbondale the son of George R. and Mary L. (Chandler) Kee. He married Ruth (Fletcher) in May of 1970 in Thompsonville. She survives.
Stephen worked as a shipping clerk at Whirlpool for 37 years and then received an Associate in Business from John A. Logan. He was a lifetime member of the NRA.
He survived by a daughter, Amy Kee of Johnston City; one son Ryan Kee of Johnston City; two grandsons, Derek Conner Imhoff of Johnston City and Jacob Harris and girlfriend Morgan of Benton, one great grandson, Copeland Carter Harris; a brother, Roger Kee and wife Holly of Johnston City; a brother-in-law, Larry Fletcher of DuQuoin; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; in laws, Wayne and Lillian Fletcher and Ernie and Terry Fletcher.
