Theron "Jim" Dwayne Linton of Johnston City, IL was born October 3, 1941 in Herrin IL to Albert Theron & Wanda Louise Storme Linton. Jim married Carolyn Killman Linton on October 15, 1962, she survives. Jim and Carolyn had three children, Lisa Linton, James (Lori) Linton of Johnston City and Nikki (Bill) Blades of Johnston City. Jim is survived by three brothers, Terry (Linda) Linton of Herrin, Mike (Cathy) Linton of Johnston City, and Joe (Jolyn) Linton of West Frankfort. Jim had seven grandchildren, Bridget (Jim) Jarvis, Brittany (Lee) Kelley, Briana Hampton, Laci (Blake) Keffer, Shelbi Linton, Audri Linton and Alec Blades. He had eight great-grandchildren.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Lisa, and a sister-in-law, Jolyn Linton.

Jim was a United States Army Veteran and retired from the Williamson County Highway Department. He loved the Miami Dolphins and his dog Alvin. Pastor Donny Coulson will be officiating graveside services Saturday, March 16 ^th , 2019 at 11:00 am in the Herrin City Cemetery, Herrin, IL. Murman and Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City is in charge of the arrangements.
