TOMMY L. GRIDER JR.

Johnston City-Tommy L. Grider Jr. 51 passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2021 at 12:38 P.M. at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Service will be held on Saturday June 12, 2021 at 11:00 A.M in the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Fr. Brian Barker officiating. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery of Johnston City with graveside military rites will be conducted by the Marion V.F.W., American Legion, and U.S. Airforce Burial Team. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. to 11 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home

Tommy was born on August 14, 1969 in Los Angeles, CA the son of Tom Sr. and Carol (Morse) Grider. He married Celeste (Shoaff) on November 8, 2014. She survives.

He was a disabled veteran, proudly serving in the Air Force during Dessert Storm and Dessert Shield.

He is survived by his mother of Harco; a son, Tommy L. Grider III; two brothers, Robert Walsner and wife Dawn and David Wilcox; and a mother-in-law, Dorothy Shoaff of Johnston City.

He was preceded in death by his father; and a father-in-law, Sven Shoaff.
