TOMMY LEROY STEWART

Marion–Tommy Leroy Stewart 75 passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at 2:45 A.M. in the V.A. Medical Center in Marion.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday March 26, 2025, in the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor Becky Capps officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the Marion V.F.W., American Legion, and the Army Burial Team. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Tommy was born on June 15, 1949, in Carbondale, the son of Leroy and Wanda Lorraine (Winn) Stewart.

He proudly served in the U.S. Army. He was a retired truck driver. He loved to listen to music and spend time with his friends.

He is survived by one son, Ritchie Stewart and Wife Joy of Herrin; a granddaughter, Britni Dowdy of Murphysboro; a brother, Ronnie Stewart of Oak Forest; 3 sisters, Cindy Minehan of South Dakota, Patrica from Arkansas, Katy Tomkins of South Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Lori and Sarah Stewart; a grandson, Tyler Savant; 2 brothers, Stevie and Eddie; 4 sisters, Mary Ann, Nita, Judy, and Linda.
