VELDA L. BANG
Johnston City-Velda L. Bang 83 of Marion passed away on Monday May 21, 2012 at 8:05 P.M. at the Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.
Graveside services will be held on Friday May 25, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion with Rev. Roger Odum officiating. Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to American Lung Association. Envelopes will be available at the cemetery.
Velda was born on July 22, 1928 in Crab Orchard the daughter of Ernest and Dimple (Gibbons) Fry. She married William Bang in 1946 in Marion. He preceded her in death on July 29, 2000.
Velda was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda Sanders and husband Steve of Rochester, IN; two granddaughters, Kristen Walker and husband John of Melrose, MA, and Mindy Sanders of Rochester, IN; two great grandsons, Stevie Sanders and Evan Rudd; and an aunt, Mary Norris of Marion.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Ernest Fry Jr..
