VIOLA ANN COBB

Johnston City-Viola Ann Cobb 85 passed away at 4:25 A.M. on Thursday, January 22, 2026 in Herrin Hospital.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor Adam King officiating. Burial will be held in the Lakeview Cemetery of Johnston City. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Saturday at the funeral home.

Ann was born on August 10, 1940 in Mt. Carmel, the daughter of Willie and Flora Jane Stutsman. She was married to Paul "Buck" Cobb who preceded her in death.

Ann was a retired factory worker and also worked at Maple House Shelter Care Facility in Johnston City. She was a dedicated mother who sacrificed everything for her children. She enjoyed weekend trips to Paducah and traveling to various towns for the perfect catfish dinner. Her favorite thing to do was spending time with all her family including many trips to Bloomington.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Debra Cobb and Becky Crompton; a son, Paul Cobb and wife Misty; grandchildren, Kelsey and husband Dan Johnson, Kaleb Crompton and significant other Presley Rogers, Dalton Cobb and wife Vanessa, Brandy Graham, Terra Graham, Gage Hall and Houston Hall; great grandchild, Layla Graham; several nieces and nephews; a sister-in-law, Shirley Manier; sister-in-law , Janice Cobb; a special friend, Cletis Root.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Daisy Carney (Melvin) and Iona Shepherd (Wes); 2 brothers, Charlie Stutsman (Beckey) and Buddy Stutsman.
