VIRGINNIA EILEEN LLOYD

Johnston City-Virginnia Eileen Lloyd 87, of Johnston City passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side at 3:35 P.M. on Sunday, February 13, 2011 at Parkway Manor in Marion.

Services will be held on Thursday February 17, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home of Johnston City with Pastor Lee Petty officiating. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Virginnia was born on March 16, 1923 in Johnston City the daughter of Edward and Harriet (Pedley) Niderstros. She married John Lloyd on November 24, 1941 in Jackson, MO. He preceded her in death on May 10, 2000.

Virginnia was the valedictorian of J.C.H.S. class of 1941. She worked in Chicago during WWII and then moved back to Johnston City. She was a homemaker. She was an avid reader and loved working cross word puzzles. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Johnston City.

She is survived by one daughter, Linda Lloyd of Johnston City.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Gene "Butch" Lloyd; and a sister, Gladys Niderstros.
