VIVIAN JUNE O'LOUGHLIN

Johnston City–Vivian June O'Loughlin, 72, of Johnston City,IL lost her battle against cancer on 10/28/2015 at 1:07 P.M. with her family by her side.
She was born July 13th, 1943 in Downers Grove, IL to Fred "Fritz" Bening and Isabell (Nagrodski) Bening.
Vivian graduated from Southern Illinois University of Carbondale with her Master in Education in 1968. Her teaching career began in Alto Pass, IL and culminated as the Principal of St. Paul's Catholic School in Johnston City. After the school closed Mrs. "O" as her students called her, was a substitute teacher throughout Southern Illinois. On August 13, 1966 she married John "Jack" Clifford O'loughlin in Downers Grove, IL. Together they shared 33 years of marriage. Jack preceded her in death on June 17th, 2000.
In retirement Vivian enjoyed fishing, playing cards, doing puzzle books and playing computer games with her three furry friends, Feebee, Tucker and Kouper at her feet and a cold beer in her hand. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Vivian is survived by her children; Keith O'Loughlin (Lisa) and Kristi O'Loughlin. Grandchildren; Keith M. Clark, Madison L. Clark, Lauren L. Kowalis and Allyssa M. Kowalis. Brother and Sisters; Fred (Marie) Bening, JoAnne (George) Cooper , and Geri (Ray) Kowalski, and numerous nieces , nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jack, Father and Mother Fred and Isabell, Nephew Kenny Kowalski , Nephew Thomas M. Gilbert (KIA) , her in laws Clifford, Elsie and Louise O'Loughlin.
The O'Loughlin family would like to thank numerous friends and the nurses of the SIH Cancer Center, Addus Home Healthcare, and Hospice of Southern Illinois for their care and compassion.

There will be a burial for the family at a later date. Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City is in charge of arrangements.
