WANDA MAE STROUD

Johnston City–Wanda Mae Stroud 94 passed on Saturday May 27, 2023 at 12:01 A.M. in her family home.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday June 3, 2023, in the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor Larry Stevens officiating. Burial will be in Lake Creek Cemetery in Johnston City. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.

Wanda was born on February 20, 1929 in Thompsonville the daughter of Omer and Lela (Craig) Fletcher. She married Jack Stroud who preceded her in death as well as her parents; a son, Brent Lee Stroud; a brother, Ed Riley Fletcher; two sisters, Ethel Blades and Eva Faye Mahan.

Wanda touched the lives of all who knew her. She last worked as a matron at the Williamson County Court House and previously worked for Jones Drug Store in Johnston City. She was a long-time member of the Lake Creek Baptist Church.

She is survived by three grandchildren, Brittney Stroud, Bradley Stroud and wife Nicole, and Brandi Aljabbari and husband Layth; six great grandchildren, Drew, Natalee, Dylan, Jackson, Kenslee, and Maverick; and Diane Stroud.
