WILLIAM CLENDENIN
Pittsburg-William Clendenin, 58, passed away due to post cancer treatment complications on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 2:13 P.M. at home with his family surrounding him.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday January 15, 2018, at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor Cindy Freeland officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.

He was born on June 28, 1959 in Marion the son of Bobbie and Mary (Cobb) Clendenin. He was married on August 16, 1980 to Sherrie Ann (Thompson) Clendenin in Johnston City. She survives.

He was a coal miner.

He is survived by three beautiful daughters, Jennifer Godwin and husband Shawn of Pittsburg, Sandra Clendenin of Pittsburg, and Rachel Clendenin and fiancé Joshua of Pittsburg; two grandsons, Skyler and Brandon Melton; mother-in-law, Sue Haughawout; four sisters, Janet Helton and husband Jerry of Johnston City, Rosemary Wright of DuQuoin, Shirley Everly and husband Chester of Johnston City, Robin Newbolds and husband Herbie of Johnston City; a niece, Janice Cook and husband Tim and kids; nephew, Bobby Helton and wife Julie and kids; nephew, Kenny Wright and wife Ellen and kids; niece, April Brown and kids; nephew, Michael Everly; nephew, Joshua Clendenin; niece, Carrie Summers; niece, Mandy Kahler and husband Kristopher; nephew, Joey Myers and fiancée Beth Ann and kids; nephew, Dustin Myers and wife Andrea and kids; nephew, Zack Myers and fiancée Amy; and niece, Mindy Newbolds; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Ronald Clendenin; brother-in-law, Howard Wright; and nephew, Robbie Everly.
