WILLIAM "BILL" B. KEMPER JR.

Johnston City–William "Bill" B. Kemper Jr. 96, of Johnston City, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 3:43 P.M. at the Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday August 30, 2016 at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor Chris Cutsinger officiating. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery of Johnston City. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Bill was born on November 1, 1919 in Johnston City the son of William B. Sr. and Nancy (Moore) Kemper.

Bill was a car salesman and a veteran of WWII proudly serving in the Navy.

He is survived by one brother, Robert "Bob" Kemper of St. Louis, MO; three Nephews, Robert T. Kemper, Joseph S. Kemper, William J. Kemper; and one great nephew, Robert T. Kemper Jr.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Hazel Kemper, and Helen Groves.
