WILLIAM "BILL" LEE HOPE

Pittsburg–William "Bill" Lee Hope 50 passed away at 5:30 A.M. on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at the St. Louis University Hospital.

A graveside service will be held on Friday February 11, 2022 at Lakeview Cemetery at 11:00 A.M. with graveside military rites conducted by the Marion American Legion, Marion VFW, and the Navy Honors Burial Team. Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City is in charge of arrangements.

Bill was born on August 24, 1971 in Carbondale the son of Ralph William and Connie (Tripp) Hope. He married Cheryl Lynn (Milam) Hope on April 5, 1999 in Marion. She survives.

Bill proudly served in the U.S. Navy during Desert Shield. He was a member of the Marion V.F.W. He was a truck driver. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Bill is survived by, his mother Connie Hope of Johnston City; children, Melissa (Betty) Allerding, Brittany Hacker, Justine (Corey) Hart, Mariah Hopfer, grandchildren, Emma Gavin, Piper, Jasper Hart; a brother, Cory Hope of Johnston City; a sister Julie Newell; and brother-in-law, Sean Newell; an uncle, Jim Brock; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his father, Bill Hope; grandparents, Ralph and Lois Hope.
