WILMA BRUCE SANDERS

Johnston City-Wilma Bruce Sanders 93 passed away at 6:25 A.M. on Friday, December 20, 2019 in Herrin Hospital.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, December 26, 2019, at Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor Larry Stevens officiating. Burial will be held in the Lakeview Cemetery of Johnston City. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Wilma was born on January 5, 1926 in Marion the daughter of Monroe and Iva (Dixon) Wiseman. She married William Paul Bruce on June 6, 1942 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He preceded her in death on July 24, 1978. She then married Earl Sanders who preceded her in death.

Wilma was a seamstress and a homemaker.

She is survived by a daughter, Shirley Canaday and husband Steve of Marion; grandchildren, Paula Canaday-Daeke and husband Mark of GA, Jerry Canaday and wife Danielle of MO, Jason Bruce of Creal Springs, Misti Carroll and husband Jim of Thompsonville, a daughter-in-law, Linda Bruce; a daughter-in-law, "Beanie" Bruce; great grandchildren, Zachary, Mason, Tyler, Stephanie, and Jamie; three great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Linda Lou Bruce; sons, Jerry and Ray Bruce; brothers and sisters, James, Lloyd, Larry, Dorothy, Margaret Ann, Lester, Bob, and Freda.
