WINIFRED JUNE RICHARD

Johnston City–Winifred June Richard 89 passed away on Monday, November 7, 2016 at 10:05 A.M. at Parkway Manor in Marion.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday November 11, 2016 at the Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor Jason McKinnies officiating. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.

Winnifred was born on June 17, 1927 in Marion the daughter of Alfred and Opal Bearden. She married Henry L. Richard on January 16, 1946. He preceded her in death on June 6, 2007.

Winifred was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church of Marion.

She is survived by 4 children, Ruth Ann Meredith and husband David of Lansing, KS, Lon Richard and wife Shari of Johnston City, Thomas Richard and wife Tammy of Johnston City, and Nancy Henderson of New Burnside; 6 grandchildren, David L. Meredith Jr. and wife Abbi, Gale Myers and husband Dustan, Phillip Richard and wife Tiffany, Patrick Richard and wife Brittany, Thomas Richard Jr. and wife Lerin, and Nathan Richard and wife Hailee; 13 great grandchildren, David L. Meredith III, Allison Meredith, Christopher Jennings, Leighann Jennings, Nicole Richard, Nicolas Richard, Harlow Lynn Richard, Cash Thomas Richard, Jamerson Jack Richard, Finn Arthur Richard, Payton Traynor, Aurora Richard, Bailey McAbb; 2 great-great grandchildren, Ashton Jennings and Ava Jennings; and 1 sister, Phyllis Strangland.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sons; 3 brothers; and 2 sisters.
